Fall Session Orientation

Orientation typically last  between one and two hours. Please some a little early to finish any registration materials that may have been missed, especially if you signed up online. 

Tips for Orientation: 

  • Be prepared to do physical activity and run 1 mile (rain or shine).
  • Be fully hydrated! 
  • Make sure to eat something light before you come. 
  • Bring optimism and enthusiasm! You have already taken a big step toward y our new, healthier life. This is the day the begins a whole new journey to health and fitness. Enjoy the process!

Orientation day you will jump in with both feet! If you are unable to attend this date, we will be holding an alternative orientation on Wednesday, October 5th at 6:30pm. 

Before Photos 

Wednesday or Thursday September 28th or 29th 
Any time between 4:00 and 6:00pm 

Men: This photo will be done with no shirt. Choose form fitting shorts if possible. It is best if you have compression or biker shorts as we do see most of the leg this way. 
Women: a two-piece bathing suit or a sports bra is best. We do need to see most of your stomach and legs. 

These pictures are taken in private and only the photographer, those judging and you will see them. In ten weeks you will be happy that you took this photo, even if it seems a bit uncomfortable and stressful today. I promise it will be quick and painless!

Spring Session $1000 Winner

Kelly R. Was out Spring Session $1,000 winner! Kelly worked hard every day in class despite that she is a busy mom with three kids at home. During the 10 weeks Kelly lost 8 inches and almost a minute off of her mile time. She also gained muscle and strength increasing her push ups by 27! Kelly achieved these goals by making it to class and following our simple nutrition program. We can't wait to have Kelly and her husband Matt part of our FIT program here at Waukee!

When we meet with our students mid-way through a 10-week session, one of the most common nutrition issues we see is that they don't get enough complex carbohydrates.

FIT Member of the Month 

Sara is Waukee’s August FIT student of the month!

Her Farrell's Journey started after having her 2nd child, she now has 4! She was starting to get sluggish and needed to focus on herself to be better for her family. Sara regularly attends 6:15 am, but you can also find her at different times teaching or taking class. She loves seeing the familiar faces at the 6:15am class that keep her accountable to attend. She goes to different classes to experience different instructors and class experiences.
Sara's favorite thing about Farrell’s is the commitment to improving yourself! Farrell’s has taught her nutrition, mental endurance, and physical strength. She loves how every day is a challenge and it makes her push to find something deeper inside her to push through class. Also the people! They are like another family with the comradery that we has been built here. It is definitely more than a gym!
