Sandy C. Was our Fall Session $1,000 winner here at Waukee. She had perfect attendance throughout her 10 weeks and never gave up in class no matter how hard the workout was! Sandy is a great example of what can happen is you show up every day and try your hardest. Great Job Sandy!

When we meet with our students mid-way through a 10-week session, one of the most common nutrition issues we see is that they don't get enough complex carbohydrates.

Motivation is a psychological game. You’ve heard the phrase “mind over matter” and that’s exactly how you need to think about motivation. It’s that crucial piece of the puzzle to achieving your goals. For some, motivation comes easy. For others, it doesn’t. Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping is unique in that our community of members helps keep each other motivated and accountable.

FIT Member of the Month 

Mark & Lisa K. FIT Couple of February 

Mark and Lisa are Waukee’s February FIT couple of the month! They started Farrell’s because they were both looking for something structured to challenge them outside of Farrell’s and it was the perfect fit. Mark had invited Lisa to attend as his “date” during Friends and Family week last February. Now she has been hooked ever since!


What is your favorite FXB food?
Lisa: Eggs or a green machine smoothie
Mark: Grapefruit and cottage cheese
Together their family enjoys chicken croquets, baked spaghetti squash chicken boats, and healthy enchilada casserole. They have also found many recipes in the Farrell’s cookbook.

What is your favorite FUN day food?
Lisa: Italian ice cream, especially in the summer!
Mark: Anything sugary

Lisa takes the morning shift and attends the 5:15am class while mark takes the night shift attending the 7:45pm class. The variety of class times works well for their schedules. This ensures at least one of them can be home with their kids during the week while the other still gets their Farrell’s fit. ON Saturday’s, you can find their boys on the sidelines while they work out together at the 7am FIT class.

They enjoy Farrell’s because it has given them the push to their level 10 every day. Their favorite part of Farrell’s is the people! They say “Farrell’s is an upbeat, positive, and energetic environment. Everyone is friendly, with common goals to work hard, play hard, and have fun. Thanks for being an important part of our lives!”
